Airport

The current airport expansion project has been designed by the internationally renowned airport architectural firm Corgan Associates out of Dallas, Texas. Our involvement in this project include the structural design for the airport as well as the infrastructure design for the air and land side. Specifically, we are responsible for the structural design for the new concessions stands, which has created space for food and beverage opportunities. We engineered the new arrivals corridor to improve passenger flow and the infrastructure connecting the departures and arrivals hall. The planned expansion by CAP will increase the capacity of the airport to at least 2.5M passengers per year in order to efficiently accommodate the anticipated demand by the airlines for new air service capacity. Therefore, CEC ensures the engineering of the structure can withhold the increased traffic and also guarantee a life expectancy of 50 years for the new airport.
